Superyacht fintech provider Voly has successfully passed the 500 fleet landmark in the past 12 months, as the company pushes ahead with its comprehensive growth strategy.

The newly released figure follows Magenta Partners' investment in the multi-asset management and payment solutions provider earlier this year.

With Magenta’s backing, Voly would continue its plans to execute several technological upgrades, as well as investment in sales, marketing and the opening of several new offices.

An office in Marina Port Vell, Barcelona, was recently opened, while an additional site in Fort Lauderdale is expected to launch later this year.

“Voly group is expanding rapidly, we’ve brought on board some of the biggest names in yachting in the last 12 months, tripled our workforce and successfully passed the 500 yachts landmark,” said Voly founder and chief executive officer Ian Flanagan.

Recently completed software updates included enhanced data security, for which Voly achieved internationally recognised ISO 27001 management standard certification.

The upgrade indicated Voly’s continued commitment to safeguarding payments on its platform, capable of processing millions of pounds per yacht.

“For the past few months Voly’s IT development team has been working closely with the independent assessor ISQ Quality Services Limited to enhance systems and processes with the robust management standard,” added Flanagan.

Voly had also turned up the heat on payments with the launch of its Payment Platform, allowing users of the fully integrated, multi-currency service to make payments in 28 currencies directly on the Voly Platform, without the need to log into their business bank accounts.

The company launched as a challenger to the market over five years ago, investing  and growing at a rate greater than 50% annually, including throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

“Magenta’s investment in Voly is testament to our success as market leader of finance technology in the yachting industry,” said Flanagan.

“And now, with the launch of the Voly Payment Platform, users can make payments directly from Voly to multiple types of accounts, processing secure real-time payments which will save them a huge amount of time.”
