Monaco Yacht Show 2023

Voly and Pinpoint Works teams had a superb few days at one of the biggest events in the yachting calendar, The Monaco Yacht Show.

The show was the perfect opportunity to meet Voly and Pinpoint Works clients and catchup with people in the yachting industry face-to-face. As always Monaco never fails to disappoint, the team enjoyed 4 days of action-packed meetings and yacht events under the sunshine and stars in Port Herclue, which is where a lot of yacht business deals are completed.

In particular,  Ian Flanagan - Voly Group CEO, Voly Head of Sales - Jonny Allbut and Henry Featherstone – Voly Head of Treasury joined the unmissable BOAT International Owners Club Party sponsored by Voly, which is a great opportunity to catchup with yacht owners and captains.

The 2023 Monaco Yacht Show was a huge success. Voly Group CEO Ian Flanagan said:

“This is our first Monaco Yacht Show with Pinpoint Works since the acquisition, and we’ve had such a warm welcome from everyone. It’s been great to be here with the Pinpoint Works team, including founder and yacht captain: James Stockdale and Managing Director: Leslie Gillotte. Feedback from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive. The boat build and refit market are seeing the benefits of using Voly and Pinpoint Works to make significant saving on currency fees and the admin time saved for the project management and build process, which I am very pleased about.

We’ve met with captains and crew and some of the largest management companies, family offices in the industry all of which have shared great insights into how the Voly platform is

helping them with the financial management of operational yachts and charter management. It’s so important to listen to our clients, we’ve also had some constructive feedback, which we’ll be putting into action straight away. For us feedback, is an opportunity to innovate, improve and keep pushing the boundaries of possibilities. I am absolutely delighted with how well everything has gone for Voly and Pinpoint Works at the show this year, and our next stop is The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.”

Voly Head of Sales - Jonny Allbut shared his thoughts:

“The yacht show this year was a huge success for Voly Group, with it being our first yacht show with Pinpoint works. The yachting industry has certainly recognised our vision and commitment and praised our strategic advancements in software development to deliver efficiencies, cost savings in all aspects of yacht financial and fleet management.

Voly Head of Treasury - Henry Featherstone added:

“We had a lot of good conversations about the offering from the Voly treasury Desk. As the banking world continues to restrict our client base, it’s fantastic to be able to offer them a transparent solution and more importantly that there is an appetite for it. It's great to see what a difference Voly is making to the industry especially, in the refit and yard world following the acquisition of Pinpoint works!”

From the horse's mouth: How Voly is advancing the superyacht charter industry

15 September 2023 • by Sophia Wilson - Boat International for Voly

Chief commercial officer, crew manager, cocktail maker – any charter captain knows that there are times when these three roles (plus at least a dozen more) all need to be completed within a 30-minute period. Thankfully, leading financial management platform Voly can help simplify the first of these elements, by streamlining expenditure on board charter vessels.

The seven-in-one platform takes care of all on board finances. This includes accounting, card, cash, banking, FX, approval and, crucially for charter yachts, APA management. The system is so effective that captains describe it as “game-changing” for the entire crew.

Captain Ian Jinks, of 36-metre charter yacht Calypso 1, first started using Voly four years ago. “The benefits of the system include the simplicity of its management tools, enabling me to set budgets, accounting codes, cost centres, and funding sources, without the need of assistance. This enables me to create all of the necessary financial reports for the owner,” he says.
