Objectives of this role

  • Facilitate and coordinate one or more Scrum teams within the company

  • Guide and coach the team and wider business on Scrum principles and practices to move towards self-organisation.

  • Ensure the team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality products.

  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure a prioritised product backlog from which the team can deliver value.

  • Promote the scrum values and accountabilities to shift a focus towards outcomes rather than output

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.

  • Actively participate in removing impediments to the team’s progress.

  • Promote continuous improvement through inspection, retrospectives and feedback sessions.

  • Track KPIs and metrics to help teams deliver high-quality products and solutions.

  • Communicate status, progress, risks and issues to stakeholders through reporting.

  • Create a culture of trust and transparency where the Scrum values can thrive

  • Work alongside product to ensure collaborative planning of features focused on delivering value early.

  • Work with the team to ensure they embrace the Scrum framework.

  • Work alongside other Scrum Masters to create a community of practice

Skills and experience

Required

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Scrum Master or project manager

  • Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Preferred

  • General understanding of software development.

  • Certification in Agile methodologies, such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

  • Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira or Trello. 

  • Adherence to all ISO 27001 requirements.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Circa £40-45,000 per year
